FE exam tutoring, one student at a time

The Year 2020 has forced everyone living in this world to adapt to different environments and scenarios.   At first, I was hesitant to reach out to a tutor over the internet and perform a one-on-one online session, but following my positive experience, I couldn’t be happier with my end results.  Based on my first phone call with Farouq I started to get the feeling that he really cared about my needs as a student.  I was quite surprised, in the past, many tutors I encountered wanted to make a quick buck and move onto the next student, I can honestly say the opposite about Farouq.  Throughout my three study sessions, he remained professional, honest, and most importantly receptive.  I tend to be very detail-oriented so my questions tend to get “into the weeds”… Farouq was able to shed light on topics where it was really needed.  


I was able to relay the subjects I felt I needed the most help in, and with (2) weeks before my test we were able to have three very helpful (3) hour sessions which proved to be invaluable during my exam.  Since it was my fourth try on the exam, I already had a good understanding of what to expect, and Farouq was able to strengthen my weaknesses just in time.  What proved to be very beneficial was the recorded videos and slideshows he shared after our sessions.  I was able to review and remind myself about anything we went over. 


A few other points I found most valuable about my experience with Farouq was his preparedness for our sessions, he tailored slides and questions just for me.  I appreciated the extra time he spent answering questions over the phone and via email and text.  Communication is key when it comes to relationships and I can attest that Farouq was not shy about reaching out.  Even giving me a confidence boost the night before my test.  


Overall, I had a fantastic experience and will recommend his services to my colleagues.  Whether you are still in college, or (4) years removed like myself, Farouq has the true ability to help.

Farouq is a really good instructor. He is able to break down math so I understand. He will come up with different examples and make sure I understand before we move on. He’s always professional and never gets frustrated when I’m struggling to understand a concept.
