I took the Fe civil exam prep course for 6 months with Directhub and it is a GAME CHANGER!!. One of the thing that I like the most from the course is how detailed and how it covers every single topic that you must know before taking the exam. The quizzes after every study topic is a MUST. Additionally, one of the best tips I can give you before your journey of studying, is to make sure you are accountable of the days of study, for myself having a calendar with the days that I will covering the respective subject, the days that I will take a break, etc. its very useful, as it makes yourself accountable of your study, it enforces you to keep track of the study sessions (3hr minimum. per day without distractions). Another tip, is study well the fundamentals (theoretical and concepts) of each topic, nowadays, a lot of questions in the fe are conceptual questions; Believe me, they are easy points, if you know the fundamentals. ALSO, a key and fundamental thing you should do before taking the exam, is that two weeks before your exam, take the DIRECTHUB full-length practice exam and if you can purchase the NCEES interactive practice exams, that will give you a lot of material to practice before the real exam day, (Believe me, treat “the real exam day, just like another practice full-length exam” and you should be fine). And final tip on exam day and one of the most important in my opinion that help me pass, does not matter if you know all the knowledge and you can recall everything for the exam, the importance of taking these exam under time pressure is the TECHNIQUE of taking this exams, follow this method if you like, a 3-run method, 1st run do the easy problems and flag the rest, do not ever get stuck on a problem, if you don’t know at first glance just flag them and later you will have time to solve them. 2nd-run – do the flagged problems that are more involved in calculations and solve them and finally do a 3rd run, where they seem hard and more involved, if you don’t know how to tackle those problem its ok (I guess several problems that weren’t easy; its ok if you forget how to approach some or few problems), do your best on a estimate and/or guess for those questions (answer every questions out of 110, even if you do not know some of them).

Before I enrolled in this program I had taken my FE twice, once while I was still in school and the other 3 months after. I was using PrepFE to study, but I didn’t feel I was fully grasping concepts and was not studying to my fullest potential. After I failed my second attempt I realized I needed more direction. I saw an ad for DirectHub and decided to compare it to tother FE study programs and what I saw was that it was affordable and gave plenty of practice (in some cases, more than other programs that were charging more!). The lessons were in-depth and super useful, and you are guided through the whole process, which for me was helpful because I’m a person that needs structure, and the layout of the program was very well thought out. the quizzes after each section really help with understanding your ability on a topic and the practice exams were hard but definitely useful. I studied for 3 months doing lessons every night and in the last month I took 3 practice exams. The 2 provided prepared me well for the NCEES practice exam I purchased as well, which I got a 61% on. When I sat for my FE this time I felt I knew the concepts, where to find things in the handbook, how to effectively use my time, how to “take the test”, and if all else failed and I didn’t know the answer I could at least narrow it down to 2 answers thanks to all the lessons I had learned from the program. All-in-all I’m super glad I decided to choose this program and now can officially say I have passed my FE thanks to all this help!

I don’t even know where to begin. After five years out of school, I finally passed the FE exam on my second attempt, and I truly would not have been able to do it without Farouq and his course. This exam had felt like a monkey on my back for years. When I found Farouq’s prep course through a random Reddit post, I had already spent nine exhausting months trying to teach myself all 14 topics on my own, using another course and resources that left me more confused than before. Highly recommend taking this course. Really helped simulate the feel for the exam and the questions were very similar. I have taken other courses before but this one I think is the most organized and detailed. Just have to stay motivated and keep consistent with following the videos.
