I studied my bachelor degree out of united states when i come here in US i learned its necessary for me to pass fe exam. then i start finding out fe prep courses. i spent 4 months on one prep course and it didn’t help that much. i feel disappointed but luckily i came across some you Youtube videos of mr farouq and i liked his explanation.

First let me start by saying Farouq is an amazing teacher and he genuinely cares that you learn and understand all material required to pass the FE Civil exam. The exam may be daunting, but for the entirety of the course Farouq has curated questions and lectures for specific topics you will encounter on the exam. Coupled with Farouq’s one on one and close guidance (he answered every single one of my questions in detail), this is a fountain of knowledge developed especially for the FE exam. Only great things to say about this course. I graduated university with a Bachelors of Environmental Science because I wasn’t able to keep up with the challenging engineering courses. I would recommend 100% DIRECTHUB those who are planning to take and I say it because its economical compared with all other courses and its very content oriented. Professor Farouq covered all the topics that are needed to prepare for this test. Very well organized and well structured material and practice problems. I thought the course was very helpful and believe it helped me pass. I work full time so it was a lot to study after work, but having a guided route was the best option for me. I didnt come across the course until I was 2 weeks away from my test, and ended up doing a month and rescheduling my test for a later date to use the course for the full month. I dont think I would have passed at the original date. If I could do it again I would just do the 3 months of the course and be less stressed overall.

This was a big hurdle for me. I am actually a Political Science major and got a job at a civil/geotechnical engineering firm after graduation. I worked at the firm as I was going to Law School at night. I started in the soils lab and doing field compaction testing, etc. and ended up moving into design work. After law school graduation I continued my job in engineering and dabbled in some legal projects on the side, but after a few years I realized that the legal field was not really something I enjoyed.

I have been working in the civil engineering field now for over 20 years now and I am currently an associate at a firm in California. I have always wanted to obtain a PE license and dream of starting my own firm, however, without the engineering education I always thought it was something I would not be able to obtain. I had basic college algebra classes coming out of school so there was a mountain of knowledge I would need to learn which always seemed unattainable.

I decided to put in the time and give it my best. I looked through the big yellow prep books, available online information, etc. and it was very overwhelming. I went through step by step and slowly realized that I could do it. While a few of the topics were really difficult for me, I just kept moving and did not let my self become hung up on one topic.
